EtherNet/IP™ Bus System Files

Overview

EtherNet/IP™ has become a driving force behind today’s need for interconnectivity with the advent of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT), which demands seamless integration between the smallest sensor up to enterprise-level systems. Transforming data into useful knowledge that drives decisions and allows for better process control requires connectivity of all devices. This is possible via networks that support the EtherNet/IP™ protocol.

Relying on common Internet and Ethernet standards, EtherNet/IP™ is a high-speed industrial network protocol widely used in a range of industries. With the integration of the EtherNet/IP™ interface and the Brooks Instrument SLA Series mass flow controllers (MFCs), users have access to an array of MFC diagnostics and alarm features that provide robust, real-time process information. Click to learn more about the SLA5800 Series MFC with EtherNet/IP™, or for hose-down/wash-down applications, the SLAMf Series MFC with EtherNet/IP.

Features

  • EtherNet/IP™ comes fully integrated into the industry-leading SLA5800 and SLAMf Series MFC. No add-on adapter needed.
  • Compatible with Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) DCS software. An enhanced device profile enabled in the SLA Series EDS file unlocks advanced features to facilitate setup and integration of the MFC into the Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) DCS/PLC.
  • Newly expanded, embedded diagnostic and alarm capabilities provide pedigree, performance and reliability data from the MFC, enabling preventive maintenance that helps improve overall equipment effectiveness and flexibility.
  • Brooks Instrument communication capabilities and device profiles have been certified by the ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendor’s Association) and the ITK (Interoperability Test Kit).

If you have any questions, please contact Technical Services or your local Brooks Instrument representative for assistance. You can also visit ODVA.org for additional resources.
